Visionary DDB owner and developer Charles S. Cohen is known for his brilliant repositioning of his commercial real estate empire. Mr. Cohen oversees a multifaceted real estate development company that owns, develops, and manages more than 12 million square feet of prime office and showroom space in Los Angeles, Florida, Houston, and Manhattan, including several of New York City’s most prestigious Class A office building addresses.  In addition to the Decoration and Design Building, Cohen’s design centers include the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California, Design Center of the Americas in Dania Beach, Florida, and the Decorative Center Houston in Texas. His wife, Clo Cohen, is a former marketing and publicity executive for fashion designer Jimmy Choo.

The DDB hosts two major market events each year, spring and fall. The Markets, are often held in partnership with the top editorial voices and industry trade organizations, examine all aspects of design and the decorative arts. Over 2,000 design professionals and enthusiasts attend market, with over 150 in attendance at each of the DDB keynote presentations.

Upper Story, situated on the 14th floor, is the building’s scenic events venue, conference center, and restaurant, with cuisine by chef and restaurateur Charlie Palmer.
