“My mother is innately protective, as mothers are, and was always making sure I was safe and healthy,” says Tabayer. “When I began designing, the meaning of jewelry and what we put on for different occasions, inspired the direction for my collection. If I am going to an event, a wedding, or on a trip, even out to dinner, I want to wear something that combines luxury with important meaning.”
Tabayer, who was raised in a dynamic and artistic household, says that the wildly sought-after Collection, which is inspired by the “eye,” represents a powerful symbol of protection.
To fête the premiere of the Eye Collection, the designer introduced her limited-edition collection in March at the Hôtel de Crillon during Paris Fashion Week. The first capsule featured hybridizations of letters and eye amulets. Debuting a collection with these heartfelt charms was the first step in showcasing Tabayer’s mantra: her label will always blend wearable ultra-luxury with deep and personal sentiments.
