In today’s world, movies with positive community messages are very important, since they explore the themes of humanity, resilience, empathy, and unity.
Many governments collaborate with the entertainment industry to produce these movies, since movies, songs, and plays can influence people in order to bring about a better change.
So, if you’re looking to watch something positive today, make sure you have a fast and reliable internet connection to enjoy these movies to the fullest. As for me, I have subscribed to Xfinity Internet since it offers fast speeds and reliability that’s greater when compared to other providers in the market.
Moving on, here are five movies containing a positive community message that you need to watch in 2026. So, let’s get started!
Remember the Titans

- Synopsis: A high school football coach tries to unite his players who are indulging in racism.
Remember the Titans is a sports movie about a high school football team in Virginia, where their black head coach Herman Boone takes charge as a football team coach and tries to unite white and black players to play together.
The movie shows how the team, under the supervision of Boone and white deputy coach Bill Yoast, uses the game as a tool to learn acceptance and achieve success. The movie breaks down racial barriers by showing shared struggle and friendship, like a bond between white player Gerry Bertier and black player Julius Campbell.
The movie follows the main theme that unity is strength. It shows that apart from facial colors and races, if people unite together, aiming for something they want to achieve, no one can stop them. It depicts learning to see past differences and focus on humanity and goals.

The movie follows the theme of hope and community, since, apart from initial resistance, his success brings hope and empowers his village by showing how a single teenage boy can bring spirit and inspire the people around him, and transform the lives of the people in his village.
Dark Waters
- Release: November 2019

Dark Waters is a thriller movie that is based on a true story of a corporate defense lawyer who fights against a chemical giant, DuPont, for contaminating West Virginia’s water supply with toxic chemicals, which leads to severe illness and unexpected deaths of the people living in the town.
The movie follows the themes of systematic corruption, where corporations set their own rules without letting the government know, allowing them to exploit local people and play with their lives.
Hidden Figures
- Release: January 2016
- Available on: Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV
- Synopsis: The movie revolves around three women who try to overcome racial and gender barriers and contribute to NASA’s space mission.
The movie is about three African American women: Mary Jackson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Katherine Johnson, who were initially human computers at NASA in the 1960s. But later on, after overcoming gender and racial discrimination, they go on to make important calculations for America’s space mission.
The movie follows the theme of sexism as it tells how women, particularly black women, are deprived of equal opportunities in a male-dominated society and field. But in the movie, it’s shown that if they work hard with pure intention, no one can stop them from growing, regardless of their competition.
WALL-E
- Release: June 2008
- Available on: Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Disney+
- Synopsis: Wall-E is about a robot that is left alone on Earth and is cleaning the garbage that has been there for centuries.
WALL-E is a science fiction movie about a trash-compacting robot who is left on Earth alone to clean the Earth’s garbage after humans abandon it for centuries because of consumerism.
The movie follows the themes of environmental neglect, consumerism, and corporate greed while incorporating a robot romance that gives the message about rebuilding and finding meaning in life beyond convenience.
I usually don’t watch animated movies, but WALL-E isn’t just a movie about a simple trash compactor. It’s about a robot who finds love and a mission protecting the planet, which symbolizes the true meaning of life rather than a programmed existence.
WALL-E, along with the other movies, gives the audience a message of hope and unity, and themes like kindness and acceptance inspire viewers to be better people. And I believe that after watching these five picks, you’ll start seeing a lot of social issues in a different, positive light.
