Verde New York Celebrates Meatpacking District Grand Opening With Mojave Grey Performance

Ushering in a New Era of Mediterranean Dining and European-Inspired Nightlife

VERDE New York officially celebrated its grand opening on October 8th, with a highly anticipated celebration in Manhattan’s iconic Meatpacking District, marking the New York debut of the internationally recognized hospitality destination known for its signature blend of exquisite Mediterranean cuisine, champagne presentations, world renowned music programming, and immersive nightlife. 

The grand opening celebration introduced guests to VERDE’s decadent atmosphere, where sophisticated design, elevated hospitality, and a sexy, energetic social scene come together to create an experience that extends well beyond the dinner table. Following celebrated destinations in Paris, Dubai, and Saint-Tropez, VERDE New York marks the latest chapter in the brand’s international expansion, bringing its signature approach toward dining and entertainment to one of New York City’s most dynamic, re-emerging neighborhoods.

The evening featured sounds by DJ Alexander Fahlberg, and was highlighted by an incredible surprise live performance by emerging EDM Duo Mojave Grey, currently on tour, known for their incredible vocals, DJ beats and electronic guitar layered performance, blending EDM with classic rock for a unique and undeniable electronic sound. This was evident as they had the entire 500 person room engaged in their high energy set. 

Notables in attendance at the invite-only grand opening celebration included actor, Broadway star and music artist Anthony Ramos, Jocko Sims, Rick Gonzalez, Zander Bleck, Michael Pozzi, Richie Romero, Ambra Gutierrez, Eva Shaw, George Wayne, Frederick Anderson, Vittorio Assaf, Charlie Walk, Scott Lipps, Alessandro Brioschi, Matteo Garzia, Alexa Luria, Braylon Browner, Natalia Nien, Ali Lasky, Tom McGee, Benjamin Saulnier, Kiley Ryan, Abby Iabar, Eytan Rockaway, Derek Gibbons, Andreas Verrios, Taras Romanov, Inbar Bornstein, Sourabh Sharma, Natalie Nien, Olivia Alboher, Arian Ballate, Thatcher Shultz, Levi Lomy, Nadiia Medvedchuk, Chloe Leonik, Levi Lormey, Stefaniya Makarova, Sergio Farias, plus a slew of athletes, models, industry notables, nightlife leaders, and many more.  

Later in the evening, showgirls decked in feathers and glam filled the venue atmosphere, performing choreographed dances set to the DJ music sounds, perched on platforms as well as roaming between the main dining room tables, for an eye-catching and immersive guest experience.

Located at 85 10th Avenue at 15th Street, VERDE enters the New York hospitality scene defining its presence in the Meatpacking District through its distinctive European energy and signature sense of decadence, as the westside area begins to take new life, returning to its early 2000s heyday, when it became the nightlife and dining hub of Manhattan. The culinary program, helmed by Chef Julien Lee Thibault, draws inspiration from Mediterranean and Provençal cuisine, celebrating fresh ingredients, bold flavors, premium seafood, expertly grilled seasonal vegetables, and signature dishes designed for sharing. A curated wine and champagne selection, signature cocktails, and an extensive range of premium spirits and bottle service complement the menu, creating an experience equally suited to intimate dinners and lively group celebrations.
