The Industry Season 5 cast will determine how HBO’s most acclaimed finance drama ends. With filming set for August 2026 and the show renewed for a fifth and final season, the question isn’t whether Industry will end well. It’s which characters will be there for the ending. The Season 4 finale left every major character in a different state of crisis, survival, or moral collapse. Some will clearly return. Others are genuinely uncertain. And a few new faces could reshape the final chapter entirely.
Confirmed Returning

Myha’la as Harper Stern is the show’s anchor. Harper ended Season 4 with a £110 million profit from shorting Tender, a fractured friendship with Yasmin, and the loss of both Eric and Kwabena. She returns as the Industry Season 5 cast’s central figure. There is no Industry without Harper. The show began with her uploading a forged transcript and will end with whatever she’s become five seasons later.

Marisa Abela as Yasmin Kara-Hanani is the show’s co-lead. Yasmin’s Season 4 transformation into a Ghislaine Maxwell figure — procuring young women for powerful men, recording the interactions, building leverage — sets up the final season’s most explosive storyline. Abela confirmed she hopes for “redemption” for Yasmin in Season 5, though the writers may have other plans.
The Core Ensemble

Harry Lawtey as Robert Spearing has been a consistent presence since Season 1. Robert’s arc — from working-class outsider to establishment insider to political operator — still has unfinished threads. Sagar Radia as Rishi Ramdani survived a suicide attempt in Season 4, and his story demands resolution. Miriam Petche as Sweetpea Golightly has risen from supporting player to essential member of Harper’s team. Conor MacNeill as Kenny Killoran, the FX desk’s most reliable voice, will likely return.
Expected but Unconfirmed

Ken Leung as Eric Tao is the Industry Season 5 cast’s biggest question mark. Eric left SternTao during Season 4 after being caught with an underage girl. Yasmin possesses the footage. Eric’s departure was abrupt but not definitive — he wasn’t killed off, arrested, or written out permanently. The Harper-Eric relationship is the show’s most important emotional thread. A final season without Eric Tao would leave a wound the audience wouldn’t forgive. Down and Kay built five seasons on that mentorship. They know better than to leave it unresolved.
Kit Harington as Sir Henry Muck ended Season 4 on house arrest after pleading guilty to fraud. Henry’s story could be over — he’s a convicted criminal fishing by a lake on lithium — or it could have one more chapter. Harington’s involvement depends on whether the writers see value in exploring what happens after the fall. Given his star power and the Industry Season 5 cast’s need for marquee names, his return seems probable.
The Wildcards
Max Minghella as Whitney Halberstram is on the run with Russian intelligence connections. His return would raise the geopolitical stakes dramatically. Toheeb Jimoh as Kwabena broke up with Harper but remains her business partner. Kiernan Shipka as Hayley was drawn into Yasmin’s procurement operation. Andrew Havill as Lord Norton has become Yasmin’s political patron. Each represents a thread that could be picked up or left dangling depending on where the writers want the final season to go.
New Additions
Every season of Industry has added significant new cast members. Season 3 brought Kit Harington and Sarah Goldberg. Season 4 added Max Minghella, Toheeb Jimoh, Charlie Heaton, Kiernan Shipka, Kal Penn, and several others. The Industry Season 5 cast will almost certainly include new faces — the show has never been afraid to expand its ensemble even as it approaches conclusion.
No new casting has been announced as of April 2026. Filming begins in August 2026 at Bad Wolf Studios in Cardiff. Announcements typically arrive in the months leading up to production. Given the show’s pattern of attracting increasingly prominent actors with each season, expect at least two or three recognizable names to be announced before cameras roll.
What the Cast Tells Us About the Story
The Industry Season 5 cast will signal the show’s final direction before a single episode airs. If Ken Leung returns, the Eric-Harper relationship will get its conclusion. If Kit Harington returns, the show will explore the aftermath of privilege after conviction. If Max Minghella returns, the Russian intelligence thread will escalate into the show’s most geopolitically ambitious storyline.
If none of them return, Season 5 will be a tight, focused conclusion centered on Harper and Yasmin — two women who started as flatmates on Pierpoint’s graduate scheme and will end on opposite sides of a moral divide that neither of them expected to cross. Either way, the Industry Season 5 cast will write the final chapter of what has become one of HBO’s most important dramas. This article will be updated as casting announcements are made.
