For families still making plans for the final weeks of summer, A&G Dance Company’s Summer Dance & Art Program at the Southampton Cultural Center offers both weekly enrollment and individual drop-in days through August 28.

Led by Miss Gail and Mr. Adam, both longtime fixtures in the Hamptons dance and arts scene, the program gives children ages 5 to 9 a full day of dance, art and creative play. Campers explore ballet, hip-hop, tap and jazz inside the Southampton Cultural Center’s theater while also learning performance techniques, improvisation and theater etiquette.

The art component includes painting, drawing and clothing design inside the center’s working gallery space. Campers also spend time outdoors at nearby Agawam Park, giving each day a balance of creativity, movement and fresh air.

The highlight of each week is the final performance. Families are invited to watch the campers take the Southampton Cultural Center’s stage for four different numbers featuring ballet, hip-hop, tap and jazz. The show gives children the opportunity to perform on a real stage while showcasing everything they learned throughout the week.

Enrollment is limited to 20 children each week, creating a more personal and engaging experience. Families can register for a full week or select individual days, making the program an especially convenient option for filling the remaining weeks of August before school begins.

The A&G Dance Company Summer Dance & Art Program runs through August 28 at the Southampton Cultural Center, located at 25 Pond Lane in Southampton. Camp is held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to children ages 5 to 9. Weekly enrollment is $1,000, and individual days are $250.
