On July 21stguests gathered for an intimate dinner at Katsuya Brentwood, in celebration of the July 2026 cover star, NBA legend and Clippers All-Star player, Kawhi Leonard.

The intimate evening took place in Katsuya Brentwood’s signature Dragon room, where 30 guests enjoyed a lovely evening of premiere Japanese cuisine, delectable specialty cocktails, wine, and conversation. The dimly lit room featured candle accents, mirrored decor on a black backdrop, and the signature Dragon room muraled wall, creating for an engaging, elevated ambiance.

Guests of the evening included Haute Living’s April Donelson, sbe Chief Business Officer Jay Patel, sbe Head of Nightlife Frankie Delgado, Kawhi’s partner Kishele Shipley, and more.

Signature cocktails included the Yuzu Paloma featuring El Cristiano Blanco Tequila, and the Katsuya Fresh Cucumber Martini featuring Haku Vodka and Sake. Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyard Red Reserve Wine was served throughout the evening and greeted guests upon arrival by tray pass.

Following his commanding arrival, Kawhi mingled with guests, posed for photos, and engaged in friendly introductions and conversation.

The first course and passed appetizer menu featured signature favorites such as Wagyu Gyoza, Chicken Katsyu, Rock Shrimp, The Original Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Salmon Sashimi, Edamame and Albacore Onion. The main course highlighted notable dishes such as the Tomahawk Short Rib and Miso Black Cod, and the Third Course included sushi favorites – The Katsuya Roll, Rainbow Roll and Baked Crab Handroll, followed by a chef’s selection of dessert platters that wowed the room in presentation and taste.
