There are fashion shows, and then there are fashion experiences. At White Space Chelsea during New York Fashion Week, CHIFFIQUE created the latter with “Unveiled in Silk,” an exuberant presentation that brought together fashion, art, beauty, music and personal transformation in a celebration of individuality and glamour.

Presented by The Silk Society, the show featured 30 distinctive silk looks, moving from vivid daytime silhouettes and fluid designs to dramatic eveningwear and statement pieces. The runway brought together an unexpected mix of professional models, current beauty titleholders and patients of Dr. Anthony Berlet, creating a cast that reflected the evening’s central message: confidence and beauty can take many forms.

At the center of the presentation was Aimee Lettich-Pearson, founder and designer of CHIFFIQUE, whose lifelong love of silk, color and unapologetic glamour has shaped the fashion house. Her vision was joined by the contemporary creative direction of Amee Liliana, who serves as Creative Director and co-produced the New York Fashion Week presentation.

“I wanted people to walk in and immediately know they were at a CHIFFIQUE show,” Liliana said. “We had 30 looks, an incredible mix of women on the runway, Carol Alt joining us as honorary guest, JT Taylor performing and a lot of silk. It was glamorous, a little unexpected, and most importantly, it was fun.”

And fun it was.

The afternoon reached one of its most memorable moments when Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee JT Taylor took the stage. Before performing, Taylor received the Silk Society Music Icon Award, followed by performances of “Celebration” and “Get Down on It.” As models continued down the runway in CHIFFIQUE, guests rose to their feet, transforming the presentation into a spontaneous celebration.

“That was it for me,” Liliana recalled. “That was exactly what I wanted the show to feel like.”

A LOVE AFFAIR WITH SILK

For Lettich-Pearson, silk is far more than a fabric. It is the foundation of the CHIFFIQUE aesthetic.

Influenced by the heightened femininity and glamour of Dynasty, her Colombian heritage and a life shaped by travel, Lettich-Pearson developed a design language built around expressive color, fluid silhouettes and pieces meant to be remembered. CHIFFIQUE works exclusively with silk, with its garments created in the brand’s own Florida atelier, where patterns are developed in-house and collections are produced in limited quantities with an emphasis on craftsmanship and detail.

“CHIFFIQUE began with my love of silk and the possibilities of what you can create with such an extraordinary fabric,” Lettich-Pearson said. “Seeing the collection presented in New York, with so many pieces from different moments in the brand’s history coming together on one runway, was incredibly special. It felt like seeing the story of CHIFFIQUE come to life.”

That story unfolded across the runway in a succession of color, movement and texture, offering guests an intimate look at the breadth of the house’s distinctive aesthetic.

THE WOMAN BEHIND THE VISION

As Creative Director, Amee Liliana has played an important role in shaping the contemporary identity of CHIFFIQUE, from its styling and visual presentation to the way the brand is experienced beyond the clothing itself.

Her creative partnership with Lettich-Pearson has helped bring together the founder’s original love of silk and glamour with a fresh, modern sensibility.

Amee Liliana and Milli

“This was our second year creating a show together, and there is a real rhythm between Amee, Dr. Anthony Berlet and myself now,” said Kerry Berlet. “We each bring something completely different to it. Watching all of those pieces come together and seeing Amee’s vision for CHIFFIQUE take over the room was incredibly exciting.”

Liliana also brings her own distinctive world to the creative landscape through Casa Milli, the independent lifestyle platform she founded and named for her beloved Yorkie, Milli. Peonies, beekeeping, raw honey and jewel-toned eggs have become signatures of Casa Milli, including limited Hamptons egg drops that have repeatedly sold out during the summer season.

WHERE FASHION MEETS ART

The CHIFFIQUE experience extended well beyond the runway.

Throughout White Space Chelsea, artwork by Marsin Mogielski and Jose Hernandez created a visual dialogue with the silk collection. The gallery setting allowed fashion and contemporary art to exist side by side, transforming the venue into an immersive CHIFFIQUE environment.

Jewelry by Yelena New York, hair by Haus of Magnum and makeup by Artistry by Cat completed the presentation, adding another layer of polish and personality to the runway looks.

The result felt less like a conventional fashion show and more like stepping inside a fully realized world, where every element, from the artwork and beauty to the music and clothing, contributed to the atmosphere.

BEAUTY, CONFIDENCE AND TRANSFORMATION

The collaboration with Dr. Anthony Berlet and Berlet Plastic Surgery introduced another dimension to the afternoon.

Patients of Dr. Berlet joined professional models and beauty titleholders on the runway, placing personal stories of confidence and transformation alongside the artistry of fashion. Dr. Berlet received the Silk Society Transformation Award, recognizing his approach to aesthetic surgery and his emphasis on proportion, balance and individuality.

With a background in architecture, Dr. Berlet brings an artistic perspective to his work, an approach that complements CHIFFIQUE’s belief that beauty is deeply personal.

The runway therefore became more than a showcase of clothing. It became a celebration of the many ways people choose to express themselves and the confidence that can accompany personal transformation.

A BEAUTY ICON JOINS THE CELEBRATION

Among the afternoon’s most anticipated guests was legendary model and actress Carol Alt, who was honored with the Silk Society Beauty Icon Award.

Alt’s career has spanned fashion, entertainment, publishing, wellness and philanthropy, making her presence particularly fitting for a presentation centered on reinvention and individuality. During the event, she spoke about the importance of supporting charitable causes and encouraged guests to participate in the silent auction benefiting Williams Syndrome research.

Her appearance brought another generation of fashion history into the CHIFFIQUE world, connecting the glamour of the runway with a broader message of purpose and giving.

FASHION WITH A PURPOSE

Philanthropy was woven throughout “Unveiled in Silk,” with the event supporting awareness and fundraising for Williams Syndrome research through AGF for Williams Syndrome Research.

Both Carol Alt and JT Taylor encouraged attendees to support the cause, while the silent auction offered guests another opportunity to participate.

The charitable component gave the afternoon a sense of purpose beyond the runway, connecting the themes of beauty, transformation and community with an opportunity to contribute to medical research.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

With an expanding presence across New York, Palm Beach and the Hamptons, CHIFFIQUE continues to build its identity as a luxury fashion house rooted in silk, color and individuality. The brand has also participated in Palm Beach Fashion Week and been involved with Polo Hamptons, while developing the forthcoming CHIFFIQUE Members Club, a private members-only concept that represents another evolution of the brand.

At its heart, however, CHIFFIQUE remains connected to the material that started it all.

Silk moves differently. It catches light differently. It transforms with the woman wearing it. For Lettich-Pearson, that enduring quality is precisely what makes it so compelling.

At “Unveiled in Silk,” that philosophy was everywhere: in the fluidity of the garments, the boldness of the color, the energy of the music, the surrounding artwork and the diverse women who walked the runway.

It was fashion with movement, glamour with personality and a celebration that felt unmistakably CHIFFIQUE.

And in a city filled with fashion moments, that was the point: to create a world of its own.
