Glenn and Sharyn Bradford have opened a unique jewelry shop in Southampton, where their life’s journey began, and they’ve brought their passion for jewelry and art with a deeper meaning to Jobs Lane.
Clients have been known to pack up their jewelry boxes and travel by private jet or boat to visit with the “spiritual jewelry guru,” Glenn Bradford, who has cultivated a reputation and following for reimagining tired family jewels.
Last year, Glenn and his artist wife, Sharyn, opened their second year-round shop, Glenn Bradford Fine Jewelry Southampton, at 10B Jobs Lane. The showroom space, designed by Sharyn, is a display of creative inspiration. Adorning the blue and ivory hand-painted striped walls are Sharyn’s oversized, color-rich canvases, which infuse a positive and creative vibration into the gallery space.
This renaissance couple has a long history with Southampton. Not only has Glenn’s work been featured at some of the most beloved Hamptons shops throughout his 30-year career, but Sharyn and Glenn actually met in a share house in Southampton 24 years ago and have been returning ever since, spending quality family time every summer with their three children.
What sets Glenn apart as a jewelry designer is his process. He goes on an intimate and often cathartic design journey with each of his clients. While delving into their jewelry boxes, he helps them to rediscover and reconnect with their past. “Prized and sentimental gemstones are often trapped in outdated and faded jewelry,” he says. Glenn’s unique ability to connect with each of his clients allows them to share the history of each piece as he organically reimagines their original engagement ring, their grandmother’s favorite pin, or that basic pearl necklace.
“It’s all about connecting their past with who they are now, and aspire to be. We stress preserving their heritage, while creating their own legacy with a deeper meaning.” What is born from this process is a magical, one-of-a-kind design that bears each client’s name.
His award-winning collections grew out of these bespoke design journeys. Glenn and Sharyn collaborated to create three of their newest spiritual collections: Buddha,Word Art, and Heaven and Earth. Another line of jewelry includes one-of-a-kind cocktail rings that feature exquisitely carved gemstones with magical appeal.
In addition to their award-winning spiritual jewelry collections and Sharyn’s fine art, they have carefully curated a collection of the most coveted estate jewelry, diamonds, rare gemstones, and collectible watches, including signed pieces from Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels, Rolex, and Patek Philippe.
The Bradfords’ shops have always served to raise funds and awareness for worthy causes. This tradition continues in the Southampton shop. As part of establishing roots, they have partnered with many Hamptons charities, including Southampton Arts Center (across from their shop), Gimme Shelter, Southampton Hospital, Dancers for Good, the East Hampton Library, and most recently they were a of sponsor of the American Heart Association Hamptons Heart Ball and donated their 18K gold and diamond heart-shaped Angel Wing charm necklace to the live auction.
