The Hamptons is experiencing one of the most incredible sushi menus a foodie could ever wish for this July because Uchi came to the East End for a one-month pop-up restaurant at The Garden at Water Mill. Hamptonites still have the opportunity to experience the chef Tyson Cole’s James Beard Award-winning restaurant. It is famed in Austin and Houston as one of the most creative takes on Japanese cuisine, and I can attest that this restaurant lives up to its incredible reputation. What you can expect from the Uchi pop-up is its playful and inventive take on sushi.
The multicultural omakase menu will feature several of the restaurant’s iconic hot and cool tastings as well as new dishes. Trust me when I tell you to be sure to try it! This is hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Texas as well as my favorite nouveaux sushi restaurant.
Open for dinner only, Thursdays–Sundays until July 28. $225/person.
