New York’s Richie Akiva, an international nightlife leader, hosted a penthouse bash in Soho in New York on Saturday, April 9th for his new private social club, and Social Life magazine had front row access.
Akiva is known for helming top hotspot venues and nightlife brands like Butter and 1OAK, and over the last decade has made headlines for his parties around the globe at Cannes Film Festival, yacht parties in St. Barth, and Paris Fashion Week bashes, to name a few.
The April 9th party in New York, did not disappoint. The party featured a surprise DJ set by music artist and famed award-winning producer Mark Ronson, along with deejay performances by Cassidy, Jus Ske, and Politik.
Ronson spun for hours, with the crowd mesmerized by his tunes, dancing with no care in the world. The energy was remarkable.
Within the room were the likes of Alex Rodriguez, Giancarlo Stanton, Joakim Noah, Myles Turner and Oshae Brissett, Joan Smalls, Gossip Girl stars Whitney Peak and Thomas Doherty, among many other VIP names and recognizable faces; definitely a who’s who of New York, both old meets new. Surprise guest performers included music artists and hip-hop names like Ne-Yo, Busta Rhymes, Gunna, upcoming artist Badius, and Fivio Foreign. The performances flowed from one to the next, keeping a high energy feeling all evening.
Akiva‘s new private social club will be a membership entry, accessible through his new NFT collection launching, called SOCIETE. These will be invite-only parties with rotating locations, with a focus on top-level nightlife experiences. The top membership tier will also include a world wide high-level concierge service. Akiva’s private social club will continue to host parties in New York, as well as around the globe. The NFT membership is soon to launch, with upcoming events during Formula One and Cannes Film Festival.
