Eden Roc at Cap Cana Brings European Glamour to the Caribbean

Nestled along the eastern edge of the Dominican Republic lives the impeccably beautiful five-star boutique hotel called Eden Roc at Cap Cana. The exclusive private community of Cap Cana is a 30,000-acre resort and residential complex.

An ecological masterpiece, Cap Cana is home to pristine beaches, towering cliffs, tropical forests, a bustling marina, and a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course. Taking its cue from the French and Italian Rivieras, Eden Roc at Cap Cana exudes a glamorous sophistication unparalleled in the Caribbean. Never has a hide-away been so spectacular.

The resort’s epicenter, and the inspiration behind Eden Roc, is a massive Garden of Eden grotto, offering guests the opportunity to experience a heightened sense of nature with relaxing waterfalls and a freshwater lagoon.

Seeking seclusion and privacy? Each of the secluded 34 freestanding suites has its own private swimming pool and posh relaxation area. The rooms feel like small posh homes and there’s not a peep from your neighbors as the suites are a fair distance apart. To make it easy to get around the resort, each suite comes with a golf cart that can be used on and off the property within the Cap Cana community. It’s quite a fun way to visit other beaches, the marina, and local shops. It’s a sanctuary not seen before among what’s known as the mass market, hard partying hotels of the Dominican Republic. Eden Roc at Cap Cana is a sanctuary.

The resort offers five restaurants and bars offering casual and fine dining culinary delights. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Mediterraneo, specializes in Mediterranean fare. Inspired by years of research, the menu presents a plethora of flavors and ingredients from Mediterranean cultures, blending local ingredients with specialties flown in from artisanal suppliers in Europe. Relais & Châteaux welcomed Eden Roc at Cap Cana in 2013 and is one of only seven restaurants in the Caribbean — and the only one in the Dominican Republic — to win this fine dining designation.
